We are happy to discuss individual circumstances. If your child needs additional help, please do not hesitate to talk to the Early Years team or our SENCo Becky Winfield.
Our Early Years Approach
At Measham Pre-School, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), which is built around four key principles:
-
A Unique Child - Every child is valued as an individual and supported to become confident, capable and resilient learners.
-
Positive Relationships - Strong, caring relationships help children feel secure, develop independence and build confidence.
-
Enabling Environments - We provide stimulating learning environments where children can explore their interests, develop new skills and thrive with the support of experienced practitioners.
-
Learning and Development - Children learn and develop at their own pace. Through play-based learning, we support every child in reaching their full potential.
Your Child's Key Person
Every child is assigned a dedicated Key Person who helps them feel safe, settled and supported throughout their time at Pre-School. This trusted adult builds a close relationship with your child, supports their learning and development, and acts as the main point of contact for parents and carers.
Our Key Person approach helps children develop confidence, independence and a sense of belonging, making the transition from home to Pre-School as smooth as possible.
Settling In
Starting Pre-School is an exciting milestone, and we work closely with families to make the transition positive and enjoyable. Staff take time to get to know your child, their interests, favourite activities and the people who are important to them.
As children settle into our setting, they naturally form strong bonds with familiar adults, helping them feel secure, happy and ready to learn. Our experienced team is always available to offer guidance, answer questions and support both children and parents throughout their Pre-School journey.
