As we begin the new summer term, we are excited to get started on some brand new learning.

Mathematics: This half-term, our focus will be on fractions. Children will learn to identify and calculate fractions of amounts, specifically thirds, quarters, and halves.

English: In our English lessons, we will concentrate on writing recounts. This will help children develop their skills in narrating events clearly and coherently.

Physical Education (PE): Please note that PE sessions will now take place on Thursdays and Fridays each week. This is a change from last term. 

History: Our history curriculum will delve into the lives and achievements of famous explorers from the past, inspiring children with tales of adventure and discovery.

Art: We will continue our exploration of patterns and textures, encouraging children to express their creativity through various artistic mediums.

Reading: Consistent reading practise is vital for your child’s development. Please continue to hear your child read throughout the week. Books will be changed on Mondays and Thursdays to provide fresh material and maintain their enthusiasm for reading.

We are eager to get started and look forward to enjoying these final nine weeks together as a class. Your continued support is invaluable in making this term both productive and memorable for the children.
